Social Media Intern - NYC Part-time 16-24 hours per week

Revenued is a revolutionary fintech company founded by a team of leading pioneers in the alternative small business financing industry. We provide capital to small to medium-sized businesses through bespoke funding arrangements such as business cards and a line of credit. The company is in the midst of hyper-growth with international offices in the US, Albania, Philippines, and India.

We are seeking creative, dynamic individuals to join our team for a fun project. The internship would be based in the New York City area; however, travel to neighboring areas will be involved (travel expenses will be paid). You will work directly with the existing marketing team remotely. This internship will be 16-24 hours per week working either 2 or 3 days per week.

The projects will entail both creative and technical aspects of social media including advertising, company page management, and post creation. The end product will be leveraged to further Revenued’s brand story and give small businesses a platform to share their stories of success, failures, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Research existing customer base with the marketing team to find potential subjects for videos featuring small businesses in the Tri-State area.
  • Storyboard short video segments to feature businesses that will be used in social media content, website, and newsletters.
  • Capture on-site videos with subjects to get footage needed to tell their story.
  • Work alongside the social media manager and marketing team to come up with fresh ideas for brand social accounts. Daily check-in calls will be held to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Plan and schedule posts across all social media platforms to ensure consistent and timely delivery.
  • Monitor trends in fintech social media to increase brand visibility and grow our audiences on each platform.
  • Transform video and photo assets into high-performing social media posts and monitor performance.
  • Utilize social media and web analytic data to effectively promote social media content.
  • Create a company catalog of owned imagery captured in real-life settings like cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, etc.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work 2-3 business days per week with a pre-determined schedule.
  • Existing experience with graphic design, all social media platforms, content creation, and social media management tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Later, etc.
  • Passion for storytelling and using creativity to effectively capture video content for social media.
  • Strong interest in digital media and journalism.
  • Major in Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
  • Basic graphic design and photo editing skills are required.
  • On-location filming days, as needed.
  • Camera-enabled phone required.
  • Understanding of social media trends and algorithms.
