SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The social media strategist is an integral part of a cross-divisional team that provides relevant, important and timely information to AAFP’s members and key stakeholders. From creating engaging social content to partnering with subject matter experts to develop effective campaigns, the social media strategist will execute the AAFP’s organic social media efforts as part of the organization’s overall communication strategy.
Social Media Strategist Duties:
- Oversees social media accounts and content to ensure integration with social media strategy and overall communication strategy for the organization.
- Proactively develops and manages an editorial calendar and executes against the editorial calendar.
- Partners with team members and key stakeholders to develop organic social media plans that support organizational initiatives and priorities.
- Executes community management, including influencer outreach and engagement.
- Supports goal setting, reporting and evaluation efforts in order to improve social content.
- Supports live event coverage for premier events.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years’ related experience
- Experience setting goals and evaluating results against goals
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging content for a large organization
- Demonstrated experience evaluating content against strategy and ensuring that all content aligns with organizational goals.
