Social Media & Marketing Manager

An International restaurant group is seeking to grow its marketing team with a Social Media & Marketing Manager. This position will play a key role in the public-facing marketing initiatives of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media accounts for multiple brands, preferably within the restaurant industry. This position is located full-time in the New York Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit photo and video content
  • Liaise with restaurant teams to collaborate on content creation
  • Build a social media content calendar for each account and drive day-to-day content creation and strategy; keep teams on track with deadlines
  • Audit and keep internal/external digital presences up-to-date, including public profiles and website maintenance
  • Collaborate with PR team to streamline messaging and support overall department goals
  • Support and create content at on- and off-site events
  • Coordinate and manage photoshoots with professional photographers
  • Continually update the social media best practices and keep abreast of current industry trends, resources, and strategies
  • Follow and engage with social media industry influencers for each property to build a following
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on social media management platforms
  • Community management of all incoming messages and requests on all social media platforms

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in social media and marketing, preferably in restaurants, food/beverage, retail, liquor/spirits, or luxury
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications/marketing, business, or a related field
  • Experienced in Graphic Design
  • Hardworking, organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret analytics and determine proper KPIs for ROI and business growth
  • Strong writer with a vested interest in social media
  • Excellent eye for grammar and AP style
  • Professional and pleasant demeanor with a go-getter attitude
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and desire to communicate and work with others
  • Previous office and administrative experience
  • Working knowledge of all basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, etc.)
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience
