Job Description: The Programmatic Supervisor owns all strategic planning and campaign execution involving programmatic and social media buying. This position is both strategic and tactical, requiring the Supervisor to independently generate insights for the campaigns in his/her scope and implement campaigns with the support of our analytics team. The Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for the client and internal media teams he/she supports for all items regarding programmatic and social media. The Supervisor will train new team members, structure roles and responsibilities, and help orchestrate the growth of our programmatic team and capabilities. The Supervisor will provide expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices related to client communications and internal strategy.

We will count on the Supervisor to provide thought leadership, and build strong relationships, both internally and externally, with our valued clients and partners. Supervisors will have a direct line of communication to senior members of the team reporting to the Media Director.

Supervisor must possess a strong work ethic, creative thinking and problem solving, and a high attention to detail. He/she must be curious about media performance drivers and enjoy working with passionate/dedicated SMEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work within DSPs, DMPs, or any ad buying platforms (thetradedesk, DV360, preferred).
  2. Execute, manage, and optimize programmatic campaigns (e.g. auction/exchange based performance media, audience-based buying, remarketing, etc.) to meet or surpass campaign goals.
  3. Work within social media ad buying platforms (Meta platforms, Twitter, LinkedIn, preferred).
  4. Execute, manage, and optimize paid social media campaigns (e.g. auction and reach/frequency buying types, multiple campaign objectives, audience-based buying, remarketing, etc.) to meet or surpass campaign goals.
  5. Develop, grow, and maintain client and partner relationships.
  6. Assist with creating proposals for new business or organic growth (ex: provide programmatic strategies and tactics; forecast spend and reach, etc.).
  7. Work with account managers to develop client decks and status reports.
  8. Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement; share reporting and insights with clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities.
  9. Troubleshoot issues and oversee campaign QA process.
  10. Attend and participate in client meetings, lead programmatic discussion.
  11. Understand and effectively communicate EXLs value prop.
  12. Stay up to date with changes in programmatic supply chain and ad tech.
  13. Participate in forecasting exercises for clients and senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in directly managing and optimizing campaigns.
  2. Understanding of ad ops tasks related to programmatic buying.
  3. 3+ years of experience working directly in thetradedesk and DV360.
  4. 3+ years of experience working directly in Meta platforms.
  5. 2+ years in a programmatic lead role, internal management and client facing.
  6. Complete understanding of the programmatic supply chain.
  7. Experience in paid social and/or working with insurance and financial serve clients is a plus.
