Job Description:

• Needed a candidate with media broadcasting and media support background.

• Responsible for using advertising tools.

• Candidate will verify each ad coming from different vendors.

• Support local media in advertisement insertion, coding, and adjusting commercial ads.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Write MS-SQL Queries to pull technical ad insertion performance data for technical run rate analysis.
  2. Aggregate and analyze data, identify trends, root causes, and propose solutions to resolve production issues.
  3. Engage applicable internal and external partners including CFC analysts, video engineering, external vendors, and other relevant parties to actively resolve issues.
  4. Work with external ad partners on identifying and resolving systemic playback issues.
  5. Serve as a lead technical subject matter expert in technical ad insertion operations for the Client CFC Operations team.
  6. Recognize issues impacting the successful loading of daily playback schedules; diagnose and triage any issues to ensure resolution prior to the first scheduled event daily.
  7. Responsible for proper playback and verification of locally inserted commercials, including monitoring and adjusting video and audio levels to ensure the highest quality of playback.
  8. Proactively monitor the health of ad insertion systems to ensure continuous smooth operation of business-critical equipment.
  9. Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems.
  10. Coordinate/support technical hardware/software, configuration, milestone issue communications.
  11. Document all hardware and software problems and follow up with user/technical support vendors.
  12. Communicate all equipment failures and technical errors.
  13. Troubleshoot operations workflow issues through system knowledge and vendor engagement.
  14. Effectively identify process or system problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve issues without specified processes or procedures.
  15. Determine path of action regarding technical issues under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. HS diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  2. 4+ years of experience preferred in related field (i.e. linear advertising technology operations, technical support, video engineering, or broadcast television work).
  3. Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and digital ad insertion technology.
  4. Proficiency in running MS SQL queries to extract relevant data and perform analysis.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, troubleshooting, and high-touch communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to look at broad data and propose specific solutions.

PREFERRED:

  1. AS/AA or Technical Certification in a related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
  2. Experience in the telecommunications industry desired.
  3. Experience with Arris and Sea Change ad insertion platforms helpful.
