Position Summary:

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Director of Creative Video. The position assists the Creative Services Manager in promoting UAB's intercollegiate sports programs. This position serves as an in-house content producer creating for social media, streaming, and video boards. Responsibilities include producing sponsored content for digital media and video boards, participating in weekly meetings with Blazer Sports Properties, and creating videos to promote UAB's athletic programs. The selected individual will be asked to create deliverables that promote the UAB brand while following brand guidelines. Adheres to all institutional, conference, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. Reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and directs video content for viewing as website features, commercial messages, video boards, and other media presentations as required.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to sponsored content for Blazer Sports Properties.
  • Assists the Creative Services Manager for content creation for UAB's 18 athletic teams.
  • Promotes the UAB Brand while adhering to UAB's brand guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $43,890 - $46,000

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Graphic Arts/Design, Media, Marketing, or related field with two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
