Role: Senior Multimedia Designer

Location: Remote

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Multi-Media Designer to join our creative team for a new financial services client. In this role, you'll transform straightforward concepts into user-friendly designs, leveraging your innovative thinking in a dynamic, high-volume environment. This position will serve as a member of an agile, cross-functional team comprised of both agency and client marketers whose collective goal is to elevate the level of creativity and support the organization's value streams across multiple channels, creating visually effective creative executions. You will be responsible for various media, including online, social, digital display, mobile, digital signage, print, and other marketing platforms. You will work with the in-house studio team and Scrum Master, Studio Manager to see each project through to completion. You will support the creative development of OLIVER creative direct reports, including multimedia designer and motion designer. Our ideal candidate comes from an advertising agency, loves to design, and has worked on various projects. Creativity, strategic thinking, and storytelling prowess will play a pivotal role in shaping the perception of our client's brand and fostering meaningful connections with their audience.

What you will be doing:

  • Consult, execute and adapt design layouts and visual branding projects for promotional campaigns, email, social media, digital, animation and print.
  • Consult and collaborate with strategists, project managers, scrum master, designers and copywriters to understand project scope and objectives.
  • Consult and participate in agile planning and scrum ceremonies and daily standups.
  • Present and articulate creative concepts and findings to stakeholders and team members effectively.
  • Accept feedback and iterate on designs in a highly-collaborative, low-ego team environment.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure materials meet compliance needs with ADA regulations, copyright trademark laws and policies and corporate culture.
  • Occasionally editing Salesforce email templates with HTML / CSS.
  • Ensure final deliverables are accurate and comply with design guidelines and production requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming conventions, and organization of graphic files.
  • Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions; maintain up-to-date knowledge of graphic design techniques.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Manage and serve as a mentor/trainer and provide guidance and assistance to creative team members.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5-7 years multimedia design experience at a design agency, marketing, or similar, including experience in a client facing capacity
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC and Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Animate, Audition, Premiere, Lightroom, XD and Cinema 4D
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Understanding of latest social media best practices and digital technology trends
  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM/AEC) to design layouts and templates for effective content presentation and consistent user experience.
  • Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and skilled in using modular components to create design templates.
  • Highly creative with the ability to produce design collateral within brand guidelines and agreed timescales.
  • Experience managing and mentoring creatives, this role will have direct reports.
  • Act as a resource and contact point for management on design and branding standards, vendor selection, and production methods and timelines.
  • Knowledgeable in various animation styles, storytelling, video editing, effects, graphic and sound design across various platforms.
  • Excellent print and digital design including email, web, typography, animation, and layout skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and advertising best practices and principles with a proven track record of success.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, stakeholders, and team to build rapport, trust, diplomacy, demonstrate flexibility and tact.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Mac OS
  • Strong portfolio that showcases creativity, familiarity with brand/corporate design, and a mix of digital and print disciplines.
  • Agile Methodology Knowledge – SAFe a plus!
  • Basic knowledge in Workfront + Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • Basic knowledge of video production
  • Design experience in Financial Services.
  • Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, showcasing a curiosity for exploring its applications and potential impact.
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to the client's policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • The ideal candidate would be available to start by February 1, 2025.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $100,000 to $115,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
