Job Summary
The Senior Publication, Digital & Multimedia Coordinator is a full-time Actively Recruited position reporting directly to the Associate Clerk - Public Information. The primary responsibility of the position is to create and manage the creation of social media, digital and multimedia content and assist the Public Information Officer with the department's overall external affairs strategy. This position works with the Executive Clerk – Public Policy & External Affairs, Associate Clerk – Public Information, Deputy Public Information Officer, and other senior leadership of the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.
- Create and execute a strategy for promoting the office via multiple social media platforms and formats (i.e., video, photo, print) in line with the Clerk's direction and vision.
- Lead the creation, planning, and editing of multimedia content, including video, graphics, and publications, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
- Proofread and edit all materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with branding and messaging standards.
- Analyze performance data, web traffic, and social media metrics to identify trends, inform content strategy, and optimize reader engagement. Collaborate with leadership and team members to conceptualize and implement innovative publication and multimedia initiatives.
- Manage content calendars and workflows to ensure timely delivery of projects and campaigns.
- Attend community events as needed to support on-site teams and capture content for social media, web, and promotional materials.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for publication, digital, and multimedia content creation.
- Assist with the coordination of internal and external communications to support public information efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications/journalism/media/English or related field.
- Two (2) years of professional experience with SEO, web traffic metrics, and/or social media best practices.
- Three (3) years of professional experience with Microsoft Office.
- Three (3) years of professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current employee of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Advanced expertise in developing publication, digital, and multimedia content for diverse audiences.
- Ability to supervise staff and collaborate with executive leadership team to design a strategy and execute it.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills, including proofreading and editing.
- Create innovative, relevant, original, and high-quality creative content to be used across multiple platforms and channels.
- Proficiency in video creation, editing, and multimedia design.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Circuit Court Clerk’s Office staff, representatives of Cook County government, the public and others encountered in the course of work.
- Able to exercise discretion and confidentiality with Circuit Court Clerk’s Office information and issues.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate performance data and improve audience engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with leadership teams, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as required.
- Able to review and edit written communications for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of governmental processes, as well as the interplay between the Circuit Court Clerk’s office and various other governmental agencies.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods of time.
- Ability to repetitively use hands for typing and operating standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
- Ability to attend and participate in outreach events across Cook County.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
