Staff Relationship: The Music Minister is responsible to the Senior Pastor.
Principal Function: The Music Minister shall be responsible for completing the responsibilities listed below. Work Schedule: bi-vocational; due to this position being bi-vocational, there will be no benefits. The goal is to turn this into a full-time position with benefits in the future as the church grows.

Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Pastor, instrumentalists, vocalists, choir, and tech team to ensure that all worship services are organized and executed in a seamless, harmonious manner.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the worship services, focusing on providing a biblical, God-honoring experience.
- Provide a worship service that incorporates both contemporary and traditional music that is blended together and complements each other.
- Lead choir practice on Wednesday nights at 5:30 PM in the fellowship hall.
- Coordinate practice times outside of regular Wednesday night choir practice with the instrumentalists, vocalists, choir, and tech team (for example: Singspiration).
- Plan and coordinate with soloists, instrumentalists, and groups for our 5th Sunday Singspiration.
- Provide an outline of the order of service for Singspiration (include songs and vocalists in order) and hand out to Pastor, instrumentalists, vocalists, and tech team.
- Collaborate with the tech team prior to Sunday to provide a song list for Sunday worship so they can play the appropriate music.
- Coordinate with the ministry assistant by Wednesday to provide a song list for the assistant to make slides.
- Provide oversight and leadership to the instrumentalists so they know the music to be played well in advance of the performance.
- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to select music for worship services.
- Lead the congregation during Sunday morning worship services, as well as other events such as VBS, revivals, funerals, etc., if available.
- Seek out musical groups to come to our church for a special time of worship outside of regular Sunday services. Seek approval from the Pastor and organize and coordinate with the musical group to come to our church on the appropriate dates. Work with the ministry assistant to promote these worship experiences so that they can create flyers, posters, etc.
- Attend regular staff meetings.
- Attend prayer time Sundays at 10:00 AM in the Pastor’s office.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead special holiday worship services such as Easter and Christmas Eve.
- Direct the choir, instrumentalists, and vocalists from the pulpit during Sunday worship.
- Lead the congregation in worship by announcing the song(s) and encouraging them to be in God’s presence through song and the reading of the Word during worship time.
