Job Description: The Department of Music, School of Arts, Media, & Communication, Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, is seeking applications for part-time adjunct instructors with positions available as determined by need and funding during the Fall and/or Spring Semesters for the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning by September 10, 2024. Classes to be taught may include two- to three-unit lecture classes in Music Theory (Aural Training, Musicianship, Fundamentals, and Form and Analysis).
These courses include, but are not limited to the following:
- MUSI 1116 Aural Training I
- MUSI 1117 Aural Training II
- MUSI 1301 Fundamentals of Music
- MUSI 1311 Musicianship I
- MUSI 1312 Musicianship II
- MUSI 2116 Aural Training III
- MUSI 2117 Aural Training IV
- MUSI 2311 Musicianship III
- MUSI 2312 Musicianship IV
- MUSI 3346 Form and Analysis of Tonal Music
These classes are in person only.
Required Qualifications:
- A completed master's degree in music from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated competence in assigned course content area(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
