Hebrew School Music Educator Job at Jewishsac in Concord
Jewishsac, Concord, MA, United States, 01742
How do we help children bring Judaism to life for themselves? This is the question that motivates our youth learning at Kerem Shalom, a progressive Jewish community in Concord, Massachusetts, and we seek educators who want to join us in working with children this way.
For many years, music has been a beloved element of Kerem Shalom’s educational experiences—something students look back on with deep appreciation and excitement, even years after they’ve grown into teens and adults. Even as we’ve reimagined our Hebrew School curriculum in recent years (creating an experiential, elective-based program), we’ve kept music at the heart of our learning: using it to build community, teach prayer, and bring Torah and holidays to life. We seek to bring a new Music Educator into this holy work.
The Music Educator is part of a supportive, professional Hebrew School faculty supervised by Kerem Shalom’s Director of Education and Engagement. Previous experience working with children, especially those with diverse learning needs, is a preferred qualification––as is a repertoire of contemporary Jewish children’s music. We look forward to meeting candidates who are inspired by children and are excited about bringing Judaism to life in engaging and creative ways.
