About the Department: The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) at NC State is dedicated to fostering student connections and community. DASA supports all students through integrated components of academic affairs, student affairs, and University College.
The Department of Performing Arts and Technology aims to provide an environment for students to develop skills and knowledge for arts engagement and diverse careers through excellence in teaching, performance, and scholarly work.
The Department offers technique, ensemble, and lecture courses, and has a new major in Music Technology along with various academic minors.
The Department seeks applications for part-time lecturers in music theory, aural skills, musicology, and ethnomusicology for semester-long instruction. Classes typically meet 2-3 times weekly for 3 hours. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching courses, grading, and mentoring students.
Please note: This position is part-time and based on need and availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates should specify their academic area(s) of expertise.
Other Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
Other Required Qualifications: Experience working with music students at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications: N/A
Required License(s) or Certification(s): Valid NC Driver's License required.
