About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Voice Instructor to teach part-time at Melody Academy of Music with locations in Fremont, Cupertino, and Palo Alto. We are looking for someone to teach private lessons at all 3 locations. Ability to teach piano or other instruments is a plus. We are currently hiring teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!
Preferred hours for this position include afternoons and evenings, with a preference for at least one weekend day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private voice lessons at various locations.
- Engage with students of all ages and skill levels.
- Collaborate with faculty to provide a comprehensive music education.
- Maintain a high standard of music instruction.
Qualifications:
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in vocal performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
- Robust appreciation for punctuality and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $40-45/hour for private lessons, and a base rate of $50 per hour for group classes. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all employees after 90 days on the job. Employees who average 30 hours per week are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance.
