We invite you to join our family as a Cruise Promotion Specialist in our Cruise Division (PrestigeCruises.com), which offers pre-packaged cruise vacations to destinations around the world.

We are looking for a strong-minded individual who is eager to build exclusive promotions for our call center and online. This role involves verifying that all perks associated with promotional cruises are accurate, ensuring smooth promotion flow, and clearly communicating with the sales and supervisory teams regarding any discrepancies. The Associate will also assist in the back office system to track all sales accordingly.

What You'll be doing: A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Cruise Promotions Specialist

  • Working in Excel and Google Sheets to verify new cruise sales amenities are correct.
  • Communicating with sales and supervisory teams to address any quality assurance issues.
  • Processing invoice payments on cruises via our CRM system to accounting.
  • Creating promotions and emails for our consumer site.
  • Building rate codes and Google Sheets that are understandable outside of the industry.
  • Ensuring company procedures are followed methodically to protect guests and PrestigeCruises.com.
  • Researching and studying different travel destination options.
  • Staying up to date on destination requirements, including customs, weather conditions, government regulations, and COVID procedures for respective cruise lines and destinations.
  • Attending training sessions with preferred cruise lines to stay updated on industry and travel changes.
  • Communicating with specific organizational support departments and escalating major issues to supervisors for quick resolution.
  • Providing a professional image of Prestige Cruises in face-to-face interactions and phone etiquette with clients.
  • Adhering to all applicable department attendance, phone adherence, and conformance expectations as outlined in new hire training and through supervisor guidance.

SCHEDULE

Must be flexible and able to work days, evenings, and weekends. Current Cruise Center operating hours are Mondays - Fridays 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturdays & Sundays 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Operating hours will be expanding to 6 AM - 8 PM Monday-Friday and weekends from 7 AM - 5:30 PM.

Schedule provided 30 days in advance. Shift swapping is allowed after completion of training. Open 365 Days a Year. We are a family-owned company and will work with all employees to assist with scheduling requests as much as possible.

6 Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off (Accrual starts first day of employment and can be used after 90 days of employment).

  • No previous travel business experience is necessary. Full training and support are provided. However, personal cruise experience is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Internet and computer savvy.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Average typing speed minimum of 50 WPM.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to sit for up to 8 hours a day using a computer and telephone simultaneously; ability to see and read multiple monitors and answer incoming calls to achieve call metrics.
  • Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months or more of customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Recognize, apply, and explain cruise product and service knowledge.
  • Client/Account Management CRM experience; client base a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cruise experience a plus.
  • Computer savvy individual.
  • Call Center experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and accountability on call metrics.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $31,200.00 - $39,000.00 per year.
