Health Promotion Coordinator Job at Millennium Health & Fitness, Inc. in Norfolk

Location: Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, VA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Specific Duties and Tasks:

• Lead the health promotion program at the installation level, including planning and coordinating activities.
• Conduct wellness screenings, educational classes, incentive programs, health fairs, and New Employee Orientations.
• Perform biometric measurements (height, weight, BMI/body composition, blood pressure).
• Educate participants on health awareness and lifestyle modification.
• Ensure programs are staffed appropriately and adjust work schedules as needed.
• Evaluate programs and provide progress reports.
• Maintain current knowledge of health promotion topics and ensure materials are up-to-date.
• Coordinate and maintain supplies, equipment, and files.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Operations Manager.
• Support travel to both CONUS and OCONUS for ship visits and worksite events.

Minimum Recommended Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Health Education, or related field.
• Three years of experience in a Health Promotion Program.
• One year of management experience in a Health Promotion Program and at least one year of supervisory experience if the position requires it.
• Current CPR/AED/first aid certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required based on specific customer needs.
