Roles and Responsibilities:
- The contractor shall provide support services for public relations functions to develop processes, provide analysis, advice, and implementation assistance to PEO IEW&S’s communications abilities and to support the mission, objectives, and goals. The contractor’s typical associated tasks include:
- Support implementation of the organization's public relations programs, policies, events, and activities to include correspondence, messaging, and campaigns that span the different levels of Project and Product Management.
- Develop and execute a digital media strategy across multiple platforms, including social media tools and website, to include content development and monitoring.
- Provide video/photography support as needed.
- Collaborate and draft articles with mission partners through newspapers, periodicals, and audio and visual communications media, including the Internet and outward-facing websites.
- Develop relevant content to reach target audiences.
- Review published content; monitor, listen, and respond to users developing and expanding community outreach efforts.
- Monitor community activities and coordinate participation in events and public forums.
- Notify staff and subordinate organizations of journal articles, media days, videos, media trips, community events, and outreach opportunities.
- Develop relevant content in specialized areas of public relations activities such as press, radio, and TV relations, tradeshow relations, and community relations.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements/Certifications:
US Citizenship and a current Security Secret clearance required.
A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience managing government relations is required.
An Associate's degree and a minimum of twelve (12) years of military service can be utilized as related experience.
Minimum Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
