LevFin Insights, a Fitch Solutions Company, seeks a Court Reporter based out of our New York office.
The LevFin Insights special situations team provides capital market news and commentary on actionable events within the corporate high yield bond and leveraged loan markets. Our coverage often focuses on companies battling financial distress, including restructuring strategies, creditor negotiations, bankruptcy proceedings, litigations, and trading opportunities.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Produce real-time stories throughout each market session.
- Provide accurate coverage of bankruptcy and securities litigation cases.
- Drive the team’s real-time news coverage of corporate bankruptcies and market trends analysis.
- Enhance corporate bankruptcy content, including data projects and special reports.
- Contribute to multimedia projects, including webinars and podcasts.
What You Need to Have:
- A drive to break news in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for internal collaboration and building external relationships.
- Accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
- Curiosity and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency or familiarity with financial data.
- 2+ years covering bankruptcy or financial markets preferred.
- We will consider early-career candidates needing training, as well as senior candidates with high-level expertise.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- General resourcefulness and street smarts.
- Experience covering corporate credit markets, particularly distressed credits and bankruptcy.
- Source network in corporate credit markets.
- Knowledge of financial statements and SEC filings.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $90,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
