Location: This role can be domiciled in the Philippines and India (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai or Noida).
Role Description:
Operate partly outside of the project environment to support professional leadership in their discipline at a management level, establishing and consolidating relationships with senior staff in Arcadis's regional offices, managing the team, managing the technical delivery of tasks or specialised components of projects, supporting the development of Arcadis capability in the discipline, and building and maintaining a professional reputation as an individual and for Arcadis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take a leadership role with the team, providing direction and leading by example where appropriate.
- Manage the delivery of tasks in accordance with Management Systems to meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.
- Manage all aspects of the regional office staff relationship so that delivery meets or exceeds their expectations.
- Work to ensure maximum satisfaction with the project delivery team and proactively work with staff in Arcadis GECs and regional offices.
- Promote both the regional and global culture of the business.
Role Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership in their discipline(s), establishing and consolidating relationships with Project Managers in the OpCos to facilitate the resolution of issues and identify opportunities for further work.
- Take management responsibility for a team at discipline (or multi-discipline) level for the development of team performance to support the delivery of project work for the regions.
- Engage with senior technical staff and discipline leadership within the regions to identify opportunities for GEC involvement in their project delivery.
- Take responsibility for the financial performance of projects at a discipline level ensuring agreements and sufficient budgets are in place, and project invoicing occurs to recover costs.
- Identify gaps in skills required to complete upcoming work and advise the leadership team on options to close any gaps.
- Lead the implementation of training plans within the discipline(s) to ensure skills match workload requirements from the region.
- Select, lead, and develop the project team to ensure they have the necessary skills to deliver the project.
- Manage relationships with Project Managers, senior technical staff, and discipline leaders within the regions.
A key managerial position, individuals will provide a leadership and motivational role to their function and will be accountable for ensuring all work is executed in line with lead regional requirements and goals. They will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field, providing overall technical leadership on complex project work within their discipline and able to develop and propose potential solutions to engineering designs, including those which may fall outside the standard codes where appropriate and guide the team on the technical decision-making process and implementation. They are recognized as a technical leader within the business unit and discipline in which they operate.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Have a BSc / BEng or MSc / MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Have achieved Chartered / Incorporated / Licenced Engineer professional status, or equivalent.
- Have relevant experience including leadership of the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
