About the Role
We’re seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer with a strategic mindset and a love for digital design. You understand the importance of research in making informed design decisions, are eager to roll up your sleeves and collaborate on solutions, and have an exceptional eye for detail.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with the creative team on design projects from concept to completion, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
- Work closely with clients, developers, and project managers to deliver exceptional user-centered solutions.
- Conduct and interpret discovery research to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Execute production tasks with precision, including image optimization, content entry, and layout creation.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in UX/UI design.
- Create responsive designs that work seamlessly across devices while integrating accessibility compliance practices into your designs.
- Present design concepts and solutions to clients and internal teams, articulating the rationale behind your decisions.
- Iterate and refine designs based on feedback and testing.
- Assist clients in keeping their digital properties updated and address maintenance requests.
What You’ll Bring
You must have:
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design and user-centered design practices.
- Impeccable communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design principles.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
- Familiarity with designing for accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Passion for social impact work and a strong interest in working with organizations that are making a difference.
- Experience with animation or video editing is a plus but not required.

- $70,000 – $80,000 starting salary depending on experience.

Location
This is a remote position with a preference for a hybrid position. Candidates must reside in the United States. Our headquarters is in San Diego, California, and local employees are encouraged to work part-time in person.
