SUMMARY:
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the visual identity of our mobile and desktop web experiences. This role plays a pivotal part in converting the business vision into functional system designs. The designer will manage all development tasks including requirements definition, development analysis, functionality design, coding, testing, integration, documentation, and release.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with in-house web designers and customers to develop, implement, and maintain Bright MLS websites.
- Design and maintain sites using HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming tools in alignment with customer branding standards.
- Create website enhancements based on customer needs, resolve display or functionality issues, and ensure website accessibility across different browser environments.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to include additional approved features to websites to enhance user experience.
- Conduct end user testing to ensure consistent user experience across all supported web browsers.
- Play a crucial role in the accurate coding and timely deployment of all sites.
- Provide feedback on planned product releases and ensure alignment with technical dependencies.
- Assist in identifying and implementing designs and usability practices to increase customer productivity and satisfaction.
- Review user interface designs and changes made to the products.
- Address performance issues in production by coordinating with relevant teams to monitor production performance.
- Perform other reasonably assigned duties and tasks to support the overall needs of the business.
REQUIRED JOB FUNCTIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with HTML 5, CSS3, AJAX, JQuery, and Sencha EXT-JS is required.
- Strong understanding of design principles, issues, and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Windows Office Suite. Knowledge or the ability to learn Bright’s MLS system, Public Records application, Mobile application, CRM, and other computer applications.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of functional areas and its impact on the overall work environment.
- Strong skills in conceptual development, wireframing, layout, and illustration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
