Bluestaq is seeking a talented and versatile UI/UX Designer with an eye for design to join our dynamic team. As a UI/UX Designer at Bluestaq, you will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity and user experience across our platforms. You will be responsible for creating cohesive design systems, color palettes, and branding elements that resonate across all Bluestaq's interfaces. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are functional, accessible, and responsive for both desktop and mobile environments.
We are looking for a designer with a keen sense of aesthetics, attention to pixel-perfect details, and expertise in using the latest design tools necessary for modern web design, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or XD) and other industry-standard tools. Experience with web development, particularly in the Angular framework, is a strong plus, enabling you to collaborate more effectively with the development team and understand the technical feasibility of your designs.
From creating wireframes and user flows to maintaining the Bluestaq website, your work will directly impact the quality and functionality of our products. Furthermore, you'll collaborate closely with our UI team to ensure a seamless integration of design and engineering, enhancing the overall user experience.
This position requires someone who can flexibly balance design work with occasional engineering tasks, particularly focusing on cosmetic enhancements if design demand slows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and Maintain Design Systems: Develop and update comprehensive style guides, including color palettes that may vary across multiple light and dark themes, ensuring consistency across all UIs at Bluestaq.
- Branding and Iconography: Design logos and icons, incorporating feedback to align with Bluestaq's branding goals.
- Website Management: Maintain, update, and improve the Bluestaq company website to ensure it effectively meets the company's evolving needs.
- UX Research: Review existing UIs and participate in UX research. Propose improvements and develop design strategies based on user feedback.
- Responsive Design: Ensure optimal user experience across desktop and mobile screens.
- Wireframes and User Flows: Create wireframes and user flows for new UIs and features, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Review for Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the engineering team to review new changes for style, placement, and overall UX flow.
- User Experience Enhancements: Improve the user experience by adding in-page guides, tours, and help tooltips where needed.
- Infographics and Visuals: Create infographics and diagrams to visually represent complex information when needed.
- Collaborative Culture: Work closely with the UI engineering team during the design process, fostering a collaborative environment where every team member's input is valued.
- Engineering Support: Assist with front-end software engineering tasks (with a focus on cosmetic and design-related tasks).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in web design using the latest design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Experience in responsive design for both desktop and mobile platforms.
- Experience with wireframing, user flows, and creating style guides.
- Mastery of HTML and CSS.
- Experience in web development, particularly in the Angular framework, is a plus.
If you're passionate about design, have a sharp eye for aesthetics, and are experienced with the latest design tools, Bluestaq is the place for you!
