You will be responsible for the UX product design within S&P Ratings Technology. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate will also have extensive experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.

The Career Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to work within the Ratings Technology UX team which defines the user experience for our platforms and analytical applications. You will have the opportunity to work with project teams to help design and build products that our customers use daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user experience research to understand customer needs, opportunities, and pain points.
  • Define and execute a user experience strategy that aligns with the business and product goals.
  • Understand industry trends to drive product design and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders to understand their requirements, priorities, and constraints.
  • Serve as a bridge between the UX team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision for the new experience tailored to analysts.
  • Create and manage a product roadmap that reflects the user experience strategy.
  • Lead user research efforts, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Develop mockups, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces that provide an intuitive and efficient experience for analysts.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Gather and review UX-focused metrics and provide recommendations based on those metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the field of user experience design and interaction design/development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction or related field.
  • Experience working across departments to define, manage, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience designing large scale enterprise and workflow applications.
  • Experience creating wireframes, visual mockups, graphics, and user workflows.
  • Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.
  • Good understanding of Mobile and responsive design.
  • Passion for technology and design, and the drive to stay on top of industry trends and best practices.

Salary and Benefits:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,700 to $175,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
