ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful adoption of ConcreteDirect in North America and Mexico has necessitated the expansion to a global scale. This high-autonomy role requires a user-centric mindset and natural curiosity to effectively enhance the experiences of construction project stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

1. Gathering and evaluating user requirements, including collaboration with managers and developers.
2. Illustrating design ideas/UI mockups using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
3. Designing graphic user interface elements (e.g. menus, tabs and widgets) and documenting specifications.
4. Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
5. Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
6. Working firsthand with the product development team. Leading and documenting user feedback sessions.
7. Conducting user surveys and analyzing results.
8. Interviewing stakeholders at their location of work as required (i.e. construction job site).
9. Performing product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders (virtual and in-person).
10. Involvement in the administrative duties of the digital team (vendor management/evaluation, purchase order generation, and payment management).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Field of Study Preferred: A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science graduate or a related discipline.
2. Required Work Experience: 5 years of experience as a UI-UX Designer or similar role & a professional design designation.
3. Required Computer and Software Skills: MS Office, Google suite, graphical design software tools, SAP, user survey software, agile product development software experience an asset (e.g. Jira).
4. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% International travel.
5. Strong skills with designer tools for mocking UI.
6. Strong ability to make UI communicate the path laid out by UX principles.
7. Experience with development collaboration tools – Git.
8. Understanding of Cloud Native services on AWS.
9. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
