A full time Visual Merchandising Manager is needed for a successful premium denim brand who is opening their first LA store in the coming months, which will be located in the westside of Los Angeles. You will also be responsible for showroom visual merchandising and special projects as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Wholesale
- Develop calendar for pre-market needs for the internal (and sometimes external) showrooms including decor updates and installations
- Act as a point person/ project manager for visual requests that come from wholesale partners
- Window displays
- Soft shops
- Activations
- Brand Focus Events
- Distributor showroom enhancements
- Works closely with Sales Directors to compile and recap seasonal showroom updates across internal and external sales offices for leadership
- Partner with key visual players in wholesale and specialty stores to prioritize MOTHER for all opportunities
- Share seasonal directives to key doors for mannequins, merchandising, and floor refreshes.
Retail Store
- Collaborate with Art Director to create monthly window updates and copy for brand presentations in store.
- Update store biweekly with floor sets to keep location fresh and updated.
- Work with leadership to conceptualize and implement a retail calendar for visual updates, windows, merchandising, storytelling, etc.
- Design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy for retail stores
- Lead in store visual retail strategies, including windows, and drive sales thru creation of compelling displays, directives, and outfit styling in retail locations
- Manage seasonal direction, visual execution guidelines, photo sharing and providing feedback to store teams on store visual rollouts
- Create monthly visual floor and window direction for retail stores to follow based on new monthly fashion drops, big ideas, and current trends
- Manage budge for window displays, visual imagery, signage updates, furniture, and fixtures
- Responsible for visual execution in all new store openings and refit projects
- Increase and enhance financial KPIs; conversion, store traffic, product sell-thru and revenue thru business analysis and visual execution
- Provide feedback to update store signage to reflect new product launches, and seasonal campaigns
Merchandising and Training
- Supports the training and development of brand knowledge for all points of distribution
- Collaborates on curriculum for product knowledge and brand seminars
- Supports the development of merchandising guidelines and visual standards that can be shared across internal and external channels
Art/ Design Support
- Support execution on Signage package for wholesale
- Help to facilitate fixture packages for key retail accounts
Public Relations & Marketing
- Assist with pop up shop executions
- Support on activations
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- 4 years’ experience in retail apparel industry
- Visual merchandising/retail merchandising experience required
- Team player and collaborator
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and pivot when necessary
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience
- A track record in increasing sales volume growth through product placement in a retail environment
- Salary: 80-85k DOE
