Valentino offers a hybrid working schedule with three days in office, and two days remote. This role is a full-time permanent position based in our New York Office.

Overview:

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator is an integral part of the Visual Merchandising team. They support the Visual Production Manager and the Regional Visual Managers with back-office activities. They will also support in the field for special events, installations and setup. We are seeking a highly innovative and skilled Visual Merchandiser that can support the creation of high-quality visual windows and indoor displays.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the VM Production Manager to manage all processes related to production of windows, pop up and event installations in collaboration with cross functional teams and local vendors.
  2. Manage photo library of windows, pop ups and VM installations.
  3. Coordinate the visual tools and mannequins stored in the warehouses while keeping an accurate inventory at all times.
  4. Support the VM Production Manager to monitor costs for projects and ensure project stays within the proposed budget.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the visual counterparts in HQ.
  6. Support events and presentations.
  7. If needed, travel to visit department store accounts and/or free-standing retail stores to support visual installations. Visits can include full merchandising and display changes.
  8. Help Regional Visual Managers with writing up the store visit reports and keep the SharePoint Drive updated for each visit.
  9. Coordinate movement of VM tools from store to store, from warehouse to store or from vendors to store.
  10. Support with store opening from a merchandising perspective.
  11. Helping to coordinate the shipping of VM materials from Valentino Warehouse to the Store.
  12. Assist with special projects or new store openings.

Requirements:

  1. Visual Merchandising experience within retail and wholesale a must.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in design, Art, Fashion or related discipline preferred.
  3. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a must.
  5. Experience in 3D is a plus.
  6. Keen interest in the current trends of visual merchandising.
  7. Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other professionals, be it the buyers, members of the marketing team or retailers.
  8. Experience working with vendors.
