A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Visual Instruction Designer.

Position type: Full-time - Contract

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Newport News, VA 23607

As a Visual Instruction Designer, you will:

1. Analyze digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs).
2. Interpret and add design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements.
3. Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP and TDP. Incorporate required changes as applicable.
4. Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
5. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Education:

1. Associate’s degree or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline
2. Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of related experience

Required:

1. 3D work experience (software examples: NX, Inventor, Shipworks, Autocad)
2. Shipbuilding knowledge

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $30/hr. - $36/hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
