Brief Job Overview/Summary:
The School of Arts & Humanities is expanding its pool of qualified adjunct (part-time) instructors. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days and evenings. Services are contracted on a semester/term basis.
The Visual Arts Program at Stockton University invites applications for an adjunct position teaching in the foundation curriculum to art majors and general studies students. Specific course offerings may include Intro to Drawing, Intro to 2D Design, Intro to 2D Digital and Form, Color and Content as well as other positions as they arise. Classes are 2.5 hours and meet twice weekly on the Galloway campus.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Adjunct instructors are expected to:
- Teach undergraduate courses as scheduled
- Access student work and provide timely feedback
- Use Blackboard (the Learning Management System) to support the course
- Support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission
Required Qualifications:
- M.F.A. in an appropriate studio art discipline
- Collegiate teaching experience
