As we continue to experience exciting growth, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Web Administrator to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and award-winning digital agency located in Basingstoke. We’re looking for a dedicated, motivated, and detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills.
What you'll be doing
As a Web Administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimising our clients’ websites, ensuring seamless performance, security, and functionality. Your duties will include managing content updates, performing technical maintenance, and providing ongoing support to our clients, with a focus on overseeing the security and performance of both WordPress and Joomla websites.
The ideal candidate will have experience in web development best practices, a strong aptitude for technical problem-solving, and a willingness to continually learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
The key job responsibilities will include
- Providing support to clients with website requests and support tickets.
- Providing support for our ongoing clients’ websites to ensure optimum performance.
- Regularly updating the website’s software, including WordPress themes, plugins, and features.
- Performing backups, monitoring site performance, and troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues.
- Communicating effectively with your creative lead, co-workers, and clients.
- Writing bespoke code for new and improved website features.
- Collaborating with the marketing team on website updates.
- Providing an all-rounded, positive attitude to your work.
Skills required
- Strong knowledge in HTML & CSS.
- Experience with WordPress CMS (Joomla would be a bonus).
- Experience with WordPress frameworks, themes, plugins, and best practices.
- Experience with FTP, Git, and preprocessors.
- Strong communication skills as you’ll be working closely with the team.
Useful skills, but not crucial
- Experience or an understanding of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce.

8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Friday.
