Job Description
Job Title: Premium Web Designer
Job Location: Tucker, GA
Contract Duration: 12+ months
Responsibilities:
- Creating highly creative designs for websites, e-mail marketing, and other digital products.
- Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS and our CMS.
- Execute designs for online advertising such as Flash, HTML 5 and static banners, websites, landing pages, and other graphics for National and Local clients using commercial and proprietary software in a fast-paced environment.
- Create designs, concepts and mock-ups based on knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and SEO friendly websites.
- Research a client's website or receive artwork and use designer discretion to incorporate the client's name, logo and color scheme to design effective internet advertising.
- Effectively present ideas, both verbally and visually, to clients, management and peers.
- Problem solve design and operational challenges to create compelling advertising within a fast cycle time.
- Fulfill change requests to existing graphic and web products at our client's request.
Qualifications
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
- Online web design portfolio required.
- 2+ years of web design experience – proficiency in latest versions of industry standard graphics software, with a focus on Adobe software: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- 2+ years of advertising/marketing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML/CSS and agile development practices.
- Familiarity working with a grid-based web framework and a CMS environment.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Strong typographic and layout experience for websites and applications, including mobile and responsive best practices.
- Proficient in Mac and Microsoft operating systems as well as Microsoft suite of office software: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- College degree preferred – Art or Graphic Design major.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an office environment & culture.
- Attention to detail of design and organization is a must.
- Works well under tight deadlines and in a regularly evolving atmosphere.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
