Details:

The University of Iowa Graduate College Web Strategy team is seeking to hire a student employee to assist with a comprehensive refresh of the Graduate College websites, adhering to web best practices. Student employees play a pivotal role in this process by performing essential tasks such as migrating content to the newly designed pages, maintaining site health through monitoring Siteimprove reports, and generating site data reports to inform decision-making.

Modality: Hybrid or remote

Duties:

1. Assist with website design based on best practices.
2. Migrate content into existing templates.
3. Monitor and utilize reports in web analytics tools, like Siteimprove.
4. Attend web team meetings.
5. Provide user support and training.

Required:

1. Attention to detail.
2. Ability to learn quickly.
3. Cross-team collaboration.
4. Must be an active University of Iowa student.

Preferred:

1. Experience with CMSes like Wordpress, Drupal, etc.
2. Experience with web content creation, web design or web development.
3. Experience with graphic design.
4. Knowledge of accessibility principles.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.

Onboarding/Training: Some web trainings might be required to perform job duties.

Salary Information: $14 per hour / 20 hours per week
