We are looking for legal writers to make significant revisions to existing FindLaw.com articles. Our articles provide consumers with informational content that spans a wide range of legal practice areas.

This is a full-time contract position through mid-December 2023.

Job Requirements

1. Revise FindLaw.com content for legal accuracy and to align with SEO, UX, and internal best practices.
2. Research, write, and edit effective informational content designed to help users find answers to their most pressing legal questions.
3. Optimize FindLaw.com content using best practices in keyword usage, headline creation, content optimization, and basic SEO.
4. Use performance measures and leadership input to constantly refine your writing style and content performance.

Experience

1. 3+ years of legal research and writing experience required.
2. 2+ years of professional writing experience preferred.
3. Experience researching and writing precisely and succinctly under tight deadlines.
4. Experience writing for a consumer audience.
5. Legal writing and web content writing experience a plus.
6. Excellent research and writing skills, with ability to research, write, and edit compelling, accurate information for consumer audiences under a tight deadline.
7. Comfort with editor review of content and constructive criticism.
