deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

The Technical Writer leads and coordinates writing projects, creating and refining complex technical documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications. The successful candidate will research, write, edit, and proofread technical data, ensuring it is accessible and meets established standards.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Reviewing and revising documents prepared by others.
2. Coordinating the preparation of final products.
3. Establishing style guidelines and templates for program documentation.
4. Ensuring all content aligns with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and meets client needs.
5. Creating diagrams to illustrate program processes and workflows.
6. Collaborating with technical staff to translate complex information into clear, accessible language.
7. Developing process documentation, reports, and presentations tailored to various audiences.
8. Providing input to improve the quality and consistency of all documentation.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma.

Experience Requirements:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in technical writing or related field.

Special Skills Desired:

• Excellent Word and PowerPoint skills.

Additional Requirements:

Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
