Job Description
A SportTechie Sports Tech Writer will write 1-2 articles per week that cover the latest sports tech news from each weekday.
Tasks include:
- Working directly with the SportTechie President to cover the latest sports tech stories.
- Producing articles that range from research-intensive to straightforward review pieces about the latest sports tech products and stories.
- Covering topics of interest assigned by the SportTechie President.
A Sports Tech Writer needs to be able to produce 1-2 articles per week. Must be someone who has a flexible schedule and is willing to quickly communicate via email. Knowledge of the sports industry and a willingness to learn are essential.
This is an unpaid internship, but we will be happy to work with any students who may be looking to gain internship credit.
Qualifications
This position is ideal for someone looking to gain unique experience within the sports industry. The position is flexible, and we are very accommodating with students; school comes first.
Previous writing experience is a plus, but strong writing skills are the primary requirement. Ability to quickly produce typo-free content based on specific assignments is a must. You must be able to present a logical and well-thought-out article that stays on point and focuses on our sports tech content niche. Being receptive to feedback on your writing is required.
