Paramount Pictures is hiring: Associate Producer in New York

CBS Newspath is seeking an Associate Producer with a strong commitment to journalism to join the team! This person will coordinate Newspath news production and newsgathering operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Help manage Newspath's response to breaking news and respond to video and editorial requests from CBS broadcasts, owned stations, affiliates and clients.
• Responsible for editing and publishing Newspath video and scripts and assisting in the transmission and distribution of live video, edited video and correspondent packages.
• Occasionally fill in for the Supervising Producer.
• Spot viral and pre-trending content and turn it around for our brand and be proficient in rights and clearances.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years local and/or network TV news experience or show producer experience.
• Strong editorial judgement & excellent writing skills.
• A focus on multi-media content.
• Familiarity with all major social media platforms and vehicles for engaging audiences on a digital level, including Facebook, Facebook Live, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Instagram Stories, and YouTube.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in broadcast journalism or related field preferred.
• Highly developed relationship building skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment is essential.
• Understanding TV newsgathering and transmission technology.
• Knowledge of regional television markets and station relationships a plus.
• Willingness and flexibility to work a variety of different shifts, overnight and weekend responsibilities.

Hiring Salary Range: $58,000.00 - 67,000.00.
