OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CBS New York, the #1 station in the Paramount portfolio of owned and operated television stations, is looking for an ethical, collaborative, and inquisitive producer to join our investigative team! The successful candidate must be a skilled storyteller who embraces the critical role of investigative journalism in supporting our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Bring a vision to all investigative pieces, working with other team members to develop a visual style.
- Show creativity in production of investigative pieces, including compelling video elements and use of graphics.
- Collaborate with members of the team to make suggestions to elevate all content.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics.
- Demonstrate skill in shooting video and crafting other visuals.
- Communicate with team members and others effectively.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of major market experience.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $120,000.00 - 145,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
