Job Description

The Personal Lines Producer at The Newton Agency is responsible for maintaining and maximizing profitable relationships with personal lines clients and for growing the book of business through new client sales.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
2. Cross-sell existing clients as their insurance needs change.
3. Follow up on leads from a variety of sources (internet, mail marketing, community events, referrals, and lead databases).
4. Meet new business sales goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills mandatory.
2. Must be at ease interacting with new people in person and over the telephone.
3. Must be a competent, confident, self-starter.
4. Effective organization, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are required.
5. Willingness to learn and be coachable.
6. Maintain an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude daily.
7. Able to create relationships from a cold start.
