Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura’s businesses around the world. Powai’s world-class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura’s global operations and are an integral part of Nomura’s global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura’s global business.
Role & Responsibilities:
IAG Analysts aligned to the Japan team analyze financial and market data of companies and work on assignments such as creating company profiles, industry-specific slides, company valuations, execution of debt and equity offerings, and M&A. Assignments will involve detailed financial and/or market analyses, company and industry research, and financial statement analyses. Analysts will be expected to work very closely and in a coordinated manner with their colleagues in Japan specifically and other Nomura offices around the globe in general.
Key Skills:
Ability to work well in multi-cultural teams as well as the willingness and capability to perform efficiently under time constraints are absolutely essential. Strong preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in the Japanese language (Cleared Level N5 of JLPT exams at the minimum). Strong desire to excel, high degree of motivation, and willingness to take leadership and responsibility for projects. Business or Finance major; accounting coursework is a significant advantage. Strong quantitative skills and an ability to produce consistently high-quality, accurate work. Excellent oral & written communication skills and presentation skills.
