What we're looking for in a Speech Language Pathologist / Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist
To thrive as an AAC Specialist at Boothby Therapy Services (BTS), candidates must possess a Master's degree in speech-language pathology and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. A wealth of experience in conducting AAC evaluations across various systems, including alternative access methods, is essential. Success in this role also demands proficiency in implementing AAC strategies in diverse settings, ensuring effective communication for children.
Additionally, candidates should be skilled in completing comprehensive reports for funding and training adults as communication partners. Finally, applicants must either hold or be prepared to acquire an SLP license for the state of NH. By bringing these vital skills to the table, you will play an integral role in empowering children to communicate confidently and effectively!
