We are seeking a talented and versatile Senior Cinematographer/Editor who has a passion for storytelling through visual media and will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content. This role requires a combination of technical skills and creative vision.

You will be part of Pattern's internal creative team. You will become a key storyteller of the Pattern brand, its strategy, and will visually capture the concepts based on project requests and company strategies. You will frequently work closely with a variety of stakeholders including our executive, marketing, sales and HR teams. Additionally you will collaborate with art directors, copywriters and project managers to hit objectives and bring ideas to life. We consistently strive to push the brand and our creative team in new ways.

This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, UT.

What is a day in the life of a Senior Cinematographer/Editor?
  • Shooting/Cinematography: Capture high-quality footage using professional cameras, including Sony FX3, Sony FX6, BMPCC and employ various shooting techniques to enhance storytelling.

  • Proficient in using professional cameras and lenses, particularly Sony FX3, Sony FX6.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere and/or DaVinci Resolve, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Color grading skills and techniques. Including how to color space transform footage properly.
  • Basic knowledge of After Effects for title changes, graphics, and visual effects.
  • Experience in organizing and producing shoots from concept to completion, including budget management and scheduling.
  • Understanding of on-set lighting techniques and principles, with the ability to troubleshoot lighting challenges.
  • Familiarity with audio equipment and sound design, including recording and mixing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Basic color grading skills in DaVinci Resolve or similar software is a plus.

What is the team like?

You will report directly to the Creative Director of the Pattern brand creative team. Collaboration is key as you will work with creative project managers, other full-time Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Photo and Video Directors and internal stakeholders to bring concepts and strategy to life. This team is data driven and results oriented, we push every project to be our best. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and partner executives to implement actionable solutions.
