The Creative Designer will work directly under our Creative Director, assisting with both graphic design and video projects. This role is ideal for someone with a broad skill set who can contribute to both static and dynamic content, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We’re particularly interested in candidates with a mix of graphic design, video editing, and motion graphics skills, as well as a keen eye for design trends and creative storytelling.
As a Junior Creative Designer, you’ll be responsible for helping create social media graphics, marketing materials, ad creatives, and short-form videos for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, take ownership of projects, and grow into a more senior role within the Creative Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects for our 50+ clients while contributing to the internal branding and marketing of 5th Element Media.
- Graphic Design: Assist in creating high-quality graphics for social media, email campaigns, marketing materials, and ad creatives.
- Video Editing: Edit short-form videos for social media platforms, ensuring they are engaging, high-quality, and on-brand.
- Motion Graphics: Bring static designs to life by incorporating motion graphics and animations where needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Director to execute client strategies and fulfill creative requests.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative assets are aligned with each client’s brand guidelines and voice.
- Brainstorming & Ideation: Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative campaigns and contribute innovative ideas.
- Client Requests: Assist with niche creative tasks, including simple website updates, email campaigns, and presentation design.
- Quality Control: Review and refine creative assets to ensure they meet quality standards before submission to clients.
- File Management: Maintain organized files and project assets to streamline team collaboration and future revisions.
To succeed in this role while working remotely, you will need the following equipment and setup:
- High-Speed Internet: A reliable internet connection for seamless communication and file transfers.
- High-Quality Computer: A powerful computer capable of running Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software efficiently.
- Multiple Monitors (Preferred): Helps manage design projects and multitask effectively.
- High-Quality Microphone and Camera: For clear communication during video calls and team meetings.
- Professional Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free environment for focused creative work.
Note: Once we transition to in-person work in Q2 of 2025, these resources will be provided at our new office near Old Town Temecula, CA, in a fun and collaborative work environment.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in graphic design, video editing, or a related field. (We’re open to reviewing portfolios from talented beginners who show great potential.)
- Design Tools: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing tools like Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Motion Graphics (Preferred): Experience with After Effects or similar software for creating animations and motion graphics.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for design, color, typography, and layout, with the ability to maintain high-quality standards across all creative assets.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to take and implement feedback effectively.
- Collaborative Mindset: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to learn and grow.
- Technical Skills (Preferred): Experience with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and project management software (e.g., Asana).
