Creative Data Engineer (Hybrid) Job at Cella in Los Angeles

Location: Los Angeles, CaliforniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $50 - 60 per hourWe are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Creative Data Engineer to design, implement, and manage data pipelines from scratch for a popular retailer's in-house creative studio. In this role, you will transform raw data from various sources into structured, actionable insights by building a robust data warehouse and supporting visualization needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to shape and execute data strategy, contributing technical expertise and a creative problem-solving approach to data infrastructure development.Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from multiple sources. Build and maintain a data warehouse to ensure data is organized, secure, and accessible for analysis and reporting. Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently handle large volumes of data. Collaborate with stakeholders to provide technical insights and suggest best practices for data strategy and implementation. Support data visualization efforts by ensuring clean, structured data is readily available for reporting needs. Continuously improve data pipeline performance, reliability, and security. Document data architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure maintainability. Qualifications: Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases. Strong experience with Python for data manipulation and automation. Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools for data storage and processing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Understanding of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, dbt). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in marketing or creative industries is a plus. Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Experience working in an environment where data infrastructure was built from the ground up. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams. Ability to provide technical insights and contribute to data strategy discussions. Effective communication skills to translate complex technical terms into understandable concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
