Position Overview:
Join our team as a Commercial Project Manager - Interior Designer and play a pivotal role in transforming spaces into unforgettable experiences. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial interior design. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in FF&E process/procurement and Construction Drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
- Willingness to travel for project installations/meetings
- Experience in selection and specification of furniture, materials, and project color/style direction
- Understanding of ADA codes as they relate to Interior Design
- Proficient in generating finish plans, specifications, and schedules for construction
- Skilled in notating and redlining specification drawings with selections and designs
- Manage daily project tasks and organization
- Review and monitor Labor Budgets throughout the process
- Coordinate furniture specification sheets, gather vendor quotes, and space planning
- Review custom furniture and millwork drawings
- Attend vendor and sales rep presentations
- Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, vendors, and fabricators
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members
- Manage client and consultant teams, project coordination, and deliverables
- Lead project phases from concept to construction completion
- Attend project meetings, site visits, presentations, and internal review meetings
- Manage construction administration tasks including RFI responses and submittal approvals
- Ensure final review and approval of all deliverables and FF&E master sheets
- Issue Change Order proposals and all deliverables to the client team
- Oversee project installation process and post-install follow-up
- Facilitate training of design team members in collaboration with the Commercial Department Studio Manager
- Program proficiency: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Sketch-up (preferred but not required)
