Role Overview:
They're seeking an experienced Motion Graphic Designer with expertise in 2D and 3D animation to create engaging and educational content for high school STEM subjects. This role requires a strong ability to visualize abstract mathematical and scientific concepts, making them accessible and visually compelling for K-12 students. You’ll work collaboratively within a dynamic team to develop high-quality educational animations using tools like Unity, After Effects, and Cinema 4D.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging 2D/3D animations to explain complex STEM concepts for K-12 students.
- Create accurate, precise explanatory animations using Unity and other animation tools.
- Collaborate with the educational content team to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Design and maintain graphic assets for teaching materials and branded content.
- Create motion graphics for instructional and branded videos.
- Incorporate feedback and refine designs to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Document animation development processes and maintain guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in motion design or a related field.
- Strong understanding of abstract math and science concepts with the ability to visualize them effectively.
- Proficiency in motion design and video editing software (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Animate, Cinema 4D, etc.).
- Strong skills in graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Background in teaching or tutoring high school STEM subjects.
- Experience in 3D character animation.
- Proficiency in Unity, Unity Animation Timeline, or similar animation systems.
- Experience with 3D authoring tools like Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
