As a RF Test Engineer, you will:
Primary Responsibilities
Key Qualifications
Educational Background:
Associate’s degree or higher in electronics or 3-5 years of hands-on RF testing experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in RF test methodology (600 MHz to 6 GHz).
Experience with key RF equipment: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, cellular call boxes, oscilloscopes, etc.
Automation experience with RF test setups and familiarity with scripting (Python, MATLAB) is advantageous.
Familiarity with data analysis tools like Tableau, Excel, or MATLAB.
Additional Skills:
Schematic reading and PCB layout understanding.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Test Setup and Maintenance:
Assemble and calibrate rack-based RF test setups for hardware characterization.
Work with lab management for equipment upkeep and maintain test station efficiency.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Operate automated test setups to gather parametric data on cellular hardware designs.
Collaborate with design engineers to review, process, and visualize collected data.
Collaboration and Debugging:
Work with rework technicians to implement new hardware revisions.
Collaborate with test automation engineers to address software/hardware issues, ensuring test setups and scripts are current.
Role Details:
20-40 hours per week, depending on project workload. Flexible, with variation based on hardware availability., Contract opportunity.
Duration: 9 Months
Location: Sunnyvale CA
Pay Rate: $67 to $70.93 per hour.
