Position Title: Design Studio Manager

Department: Sales

Summary
The objective of this position is to drive option sales by consulting with home buyers, providing
outstanding customer service, and interpreting customers’ design aesthetic into a tailored design.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide high level of customer service to homeowners by scheduling and managing design

appointments.

2. Provide timely and effective follow up as appropriate depending on customer needs, and take

ownership of resolving customer questions and concerns.

3. Realize maximum option sales within the buyers’ budget.

4. Develop and maintain professional and positive relationships with vendors and suppliers,

keeping current with style and industry trends.

5. Represent Design Studio for homeowner events.

6. Maintain accurate paperwork on customer selections.

7. Maintain Design Center appearance, displays, and merchandising.

8. Provide accurate and timely updates to Design Studio Manager on progress and scope of

consulting work.

9. Proactively identify potential issues and offer creative solutions to cultivate a culture of raving fans

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field.

2. Minimum of five years of experience in a design operations management or executive role.

3. Proven proficiency in MAC systems required.

4. Sales Force knowledge a plus.

5. Proficiency in Oracle, JD Edwards, and/or PeopleSoft a plus.

6. Collaborative spirit: Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work effectively with a team

7. A background in interior design, architecture, or a related field: While formal education is valued, we're open to candidates with non-traditional backgrounds who demonstrate exceptional talent and drive
