Packaging Designer Overview: The Packaging Designer (Apparel) is primarily responsible for the design and development of packaging and trims (labels, tags, and other compliant items) for specific brands within the company's apparel division. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment on both the creative and technical sides of packaging, ensuring that all design elements align with the brand's identity, business goals, and production requirements.

Packaging Designer Responsibilities:

• Design creative and functional packaging solutions for apparel products distributed globally. • Digital and physical packaging and trim submissions to the license and/or customer for approvals. • Ensure packaging and trim for each program reflect the design direction, brand's identity, and customer/distribution requirements. • Packaging and trim development with multiple factories; detailed layout review, cost and lead time comparison, and sample execution to establish approved color and quality standards. • Prepare production-ready assets, including technical files, dielines, and artwork for manufacturing. • Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that packaging and trims are produced to specification and within the required timelines. • Ensure packaging and trims meet both aesthetic and functional standards before mass production. • Create and maintain apparel packaging and trim production guides with the required and most up to date item details.

Packaging Designer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in design or related area and some work experience in the design industry. • Highly proficient in MAC OS, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop • Experience in Graphic, Packaging, and Apparel Packaging Design • Experience in Trim Design and Development • Proficient computer skills to include Adobe Suite programs and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
