The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Associate Graphic Designer to support our Corporate Office in Orlando, Florida.

The Associate Graphic Designer works under the supervision of the Marketing Manager to develop innovative design solutions with high visual impact, create print and digital graphics that clearly convey the company’s messages, and meet key deadlines for internal and external projects. You will work closely with team members to support the design and development of a range of creative projects focused on leveraging design to meet specific project objectives, and create engaging, user-friendly experiences across different channels and platforms.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide proposal support to RFI/RFP efforts. Tasks include Document Shell creation/design (with text styles and cover designs), design custom graphics to give visual appeal to the written content, print and produce hard copies of proposal documents to the highest degree of quality and compliancy.

Producer of the Corporate Newsletter – Generate compelling quarterly newsletters using Adobe InDesign, inputting content provided by upper management and responding to feedback to revise and create final documents for use by the entire organization.

Maintain the currency of all corporate identity materials – Responsible for making all updates to existing materials as the company evolves, improves, or changes its image or market approach. Making sure all logos, letterhead, brochures, and any business collateral are correct, accessible, and up to date.

Support related initiatives that require any design aspect such as mailers, team shirts, giveaways, trade show support, etc. Source and manage vendors to create high quality, imprinted promotional items.

Support any special projects and conferences/tradeshows that require custom materials and branding displays or any new company initiatives.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher earning a bachelor’s degree in graphics, Graphic Arts, Production Design, or related visual art field

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience and proficiency in utilizing: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and MS Office.

Knowledge of the proposal development process, storyboard concept design, structure layouts, visual presentation, graphics and final packaging.
