To support AWD’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Senior UX Designer to redefine the seller experience with intuitive, innovative design solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of understanding seller needs and crafting seamless, user-centric experiences across platforms and touch points. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, researchers, and content writers, to design solutions that empower sellers and drive AWD’s continued success.

Key job responsibilities

Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions and raise the bar on sellers' experience in managing their inventory, shipments, orders and distributions.

Effectively advocate and design for the customer through objective data such as customer insights, market analysis, balancing design with technical constraints/opportunities and business insights.

Partner closely with business and engineering teams to plan and balance immediate changes with long-term, scalable solutions.

Quickly and thoroughly creating user flows, wire frames, visual designs, and prototypes to effectively concept and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development.

Proactively initiate, plan and prioritize design roadmap based on user research insights and interpreting analytic data.

Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.

Own and lead the discovery and strategize phases of a project. Propose new UX design vision, proactively pitch north star UX design vision and influence product strategy.

Use system-level design thinking to drive scalable design solutions.

Models behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team.

Be a champion for user-centered design culture and best practices in the design team and for cross-functional teams, help the UX team adopt best practices.

About the team

As part of the rapidly growing Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) business, our UX team plays a pivotal role in transforming the way businesses streamline their supply chain. Our UX team is small, agile, and deeply embedded within AWD, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders on a daily basis. We also work with multiple cross-organizational UX teams across Amazon to align on larger initiatives to deliver cohesive, user-centered solutions. We thrive on solving complex challenges, driving innovation, and creating seamless experiences that empower sellers and merchants.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of design experience

Have an available online portfolio

Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards

Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
