Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Content Manager to join our Berkley Accident and Health team! This is an individual contributor role that requires experience with hands-on content creation, strategic thinking, and project management skills. We are seeking an experienced writer and project manager with a knack for creating compelling content that resonates with our audiences. We are open to any industry as long you have a strong background in marketing/email automation to reach those audiences and gauge effectiveness.

Key functions include but are not limited to:

  • Write high-quality, engaging, and informative content across a range of formats, including product sell sheets, email newsletters, blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, social media, presentations, and website copy
  • Use email marketing and other automation tools to distribute content through various channels
  • Work closely with company teams, including Marketing, Underwriting, Sales, and Compliance, to ensure content strategy aligns with brand messaging and business objectives
  • Develop long-range content marketing strategies to promote our products and services
  • Analyze performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Juggle multiple projects, including timely content needs and management of a content calendar based on annual product themes
  • Collaborate with external vendors, for graphic designer and video, as needed
  • Review materials created by third-party distribution partners for appropriateness, quality, and brand fit and make recommendations
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or other applicable field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B environment
  • 2+ years of experience using marketing automation platforms, such as MailChimp and Salesforce
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the dexterity to produce engaging content in a range of formats
  • Excellent listening, verbal communication, and teamwork skills
  • Self-starter approach to work, a positive attitude, and a drive to suggest new ideas that will improve workflow and/or results
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and understand B2B and B2C insurance products
  • Aptitude to analyze data and measure success of content marketing strategies
  • Available for occasional travel to company events or other offices, as needed
  • Writing samples (3 short-form communications, such as social, email, or banner ads, and 1 long-form communication, such as a blog or article). Samples to be provided during interview process, upon request.
