About the Role:

The Digital Content Specialist for the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department will play a vital role in maintaining and elevating the department's digital presence. This position involves managing social media content, updating the website's calendar of events, and collaborating with team members to deliver engaging and informative campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain social media content across platforms.
  • Update and manage the Parks and Recreation website's event calendar.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create visually appealing and impactful social media campaigns.
  • Conduct research on audience personas and consumer behavior to optimize content.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics and KPIs.
  • Design and publish web pages with an understanding of SEO and web traffic data.
  • Utilize photography skills to capture and edit photos for digital use.
  • Stay organized and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the team while maintaining self-motivation and time management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • One or more years of experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role.
  • One or more years of website design
Preferred Qualifications
  • Photography skills - taking and editing photos
